1940's Red & Black Rayon Suit - Size Small
Vintage 1940's coral red and inky black suit. The suit is a 2 piece set comprised of a fitted blazer jacket & skirt. The jacket features a strong peplum shape (it has backing at the peplum for a defied shape), black cuffs, a matching red & black neck tie, light gathered draping at shoulders, strong front and back bust darts, and fabric covered buttons down the front for closure. The skirt has a nice wide waist band, has gathered bustle type of draping on the back and features a metal zipper and snap for closure.

Condition: Great, some small minor cosmetic issues (a faint spot on bust), discoloration on inside of collar, the faintest discoloration at the back of the shoulders, a few seam repairs. It presents wonderfully and is freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear
Measurements: I measure my items flat then double at the bust, waist and hips, measurements below have already been doubled in these areas. Suit is shown unpinned on a mannequin with a 36" bust, 27" waist and 36" hips for reference, the skirt was a bit too snug on the mannequin to fully fasten.
