1940’s Rayon Floral Maxi Dress - Size Small - As-Is
Absolutely beautiful 1940's floral rayon maxi dress. The color is a light buttery cream with a gorgeous floral print. The bodice features a v-neckline and has nice draped pleats that come together at the high waist line. The dress has a small key hole opening on the upper back that fastens with two fabric covered buttons. The dress is pullover style with a side metal zipper as well for closure. The bottom part of the dress has a little bias cut detail. The dress comes with a red rayon sash (I prefer it without but it will absolutely come with the dress along with some extra fabric from the dress when someone hemmed it that could work as a sash as well). The dress has a handful of light discoloration areas so please look at all photos.

Condition: Structurally in excellent condition, cosmetically it has a handful of light areas of color transfer throughout (pretty hard to notice unless looking for them), there are a few spots on the bodice. One underarm has some light discoloration that wont show once wearing. There is a tiny start to a hole on the bust under one of the pleats. The bottom part of the skirt has some small pinholes that look like spots (I believe this happened at the dry cleaners...ugh!). This dress presents wonderfully and is freshly dry cleaned, please know you are purchasing an as-is dress so if minor issues and spots bother you, this is not the dress for you. With all that said it is STUNNING and I am being overly cautious when describing the condition. Priced with condition in mind this is easily a $400 plus dress when in excellent condition.
**i forgot to drop off the red sash to the dry cleaners so that has not been cleaned.
Measurements: I measure my items flat then double at the bust, waist and hips, measurements below have already been doubled in these areas. Dress is shown on a mannequin with a 36" bust, 26" waist and 36" hips for reference.
bust- 34/35" (it did fit on my 36" bust mannequin)
waist- 25" (the waist seam sits high so measure yourself high on the waist, 13" down from your shoulder for this one)
bodice length- 13" shoulder to waist seam
hips- open to 48"
length- 56 1/2"
